I recently had the clutch replaced. Now there are times when I push the clutch in and when I turn the ignition switch, nothing happens. I can try it again and it will start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes I have to turn the key multiple times before it will start. This never happened
before the new clutch was installed. The battery cables are tight and clean. Cannot figure
out what is happening. Any advise is appreciated.

First thing I would check is the clutch interlock switch. Obviously, if this switch is not made, the car will not start. If a new clutch was installed, it sounds as though there is something out of adjustment. Does the repair have a warranty? You may want to bring it back to have it looked over..
