Why car wouldn’t start

Had to slam down on breaks to keep
from an accident happening, the car
shut off and then would not start?
Following morning car started?
Should I take to repair? And what
would cause this?  Thank you for

In your trunk there is fuel system inertia switch that shuts off your fuel pump and stops the engine in case of an accident impact, or severe sudden stop. You have to manually reset this switch when it trips. Look in side the trunk on the right hand side behind that pressed cardboard liner. Push that button down until it clicks. Now your engine should start and run okay. Keep looking if my location is not precise or look in the owner's manual.
