I found out the problem on my Ford (i was the one who asked the question) After spending 800 dollars "fixing" the problem twice... Turns out if you lift off the air filter you will see a thin rod that connects from the gear shift to the transmission. There it connects to a tear drop shaped switch on top of the transmission. the attachment from rod to switch is with this yellow plastic clip. It was loose and all i did was set the switch to park "tear drop pointed closest to you" then squeeze the clip closed as it had popped open. Car starts up every time.
