Starter will spin but won't engage.
It has two solinoids. One on the
starter and one on the wheel well.
Which one engages the starter?

The one on the starter is the solenoid, it moves the pinion gear to engage the flywheel. The one on the wheel well is the starter relay.

If it just spins, replace the starter unit - it comes with a new solenoid and Bendix gear - unless the ring gear on your flywheel (or flex plate) is missing teeth - then a new starter won't help

also remeber if the starter dont engage at all it might be the relay
