To trace an electrical problem in a vehicle two things are needed. A volt meter and something like a Hayne Manuel for your particular vehicle which has a wiring diagram. To illustrate my point, if a volt meter was used on the bulb socket or the wire leading to it, you would have learned the problem was not there, but somewhere further down the line Checking for current at the fuse panel first (fuse removed) indicates if power is being supplied there or not. Many problems occur because of a bad contact in the fuse panel which can be determined with a meter.
