How do I reset the computer on a 2002 Ford Explorer

The security alarm isn't working right. It will go off automatically on it's own. When I first
bought it, it was so touchy any little thing would make it go off. Even if you tried to open
the door with it set. Now it doesn't. Is there a way I can like unhook the battery cable or
turn the ignition over so many times to reset the computer

Take both battery cables off the battery and hold them together to short the electricity and hold them together for 20 seconds then reconnect.
