2002 ford explorer no start after overheating

My girl overeheated her 02 explorer then it
woldnt start pulled a couple of spark plugs
found water. So ichanged the headgasket no
water in oil pyt it back together and still it
wont start turns over but wont start kinda
lost dont know what to do looking for advice

if she got it very hot, (into the red) then you will need to do much more, there are many gaskets, seals, that might of been fried, sad to say many say I just need to get home it is not far? and then pay dearly! over the years I had to tell many people you need a new motor, or complete rebuild,

I got a 2002 Ford Explorer and it cut off On me and over heated and won’t start it said check gauge and battery got low and drained
