2002 Ford Explorer theft light blinking

A couple of days ago our good ole Explorer started acting strange as I was
driving it. Dome lights off / on, doors locking / unlocking, door ajar off / on all
at the same time will driving. Did this for a few minutes then stopped. Started
and drove fine to work the next day. Got in after work and nothing worked
except the theft light flashing. No power anywhere. Tried all the simple online
fixes to no avail. It has 205,000 miles on it. Any ideas?

First check your battery and cable connections. You might have been losing electrical power while driving. If that's good, then your anti-theft system may have lost it's mating to your master key. If you have a spare transponder key, try it. If that's a no go, take it in and have it reprogrammed, if you can't move it try a mobile locksmith.
