Radio is not working

Asked by mvillante Jun 24, 2015 at 12:23 PM about the 2002 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Explorer XLT  and the radio doesn't work. Its just the radio. Is there a fuse that only effects the radio?

It is fuse #3 The fuse panel is located below the instrument panel on the driver’s side. And is shows for Radio, Amplifier, Power antenna, DVD. I can't find the map image, but if you download the link below it's on Page 229

I put a fuse tester - the fuse is good - but there is no power going to that particular fuse. It appears the circuit/wires behind the fuse is broken somewhere - any ideas? Both power window and radio not working at the same time... I check the wiring and it is all good. But Some fuses are not getting power. Is there another fuse between the car electrical system to the driver fuse? I know about the engine compartment fuse - but nothing on the manual about radio - except # 62 the power window... I am planning to get a replacement fuse for # 62 at the u-pick-part salvage lot. email me if you have other ideas: gilinnc @ gmail . com Thanks.
