Key or battery issue

Very well could be...separate the key fob, dry soak in rice (real, not instant), and hope for the best.

When you do this procedure, open the key fob to expose the battery, but do not remove it. Leave the key fob in the real rice (uncooked) for a few hours. Before you close the back of the key fob, use a can of compressed air and spray it, do this from a distance, about and arm's length, to avoid possible damage. This worked for a friend with a similar problem. And yes, lets all hope for the best!
