How can I find the code to unlock the door? I got it from a dealership and they said I could set it my self but I never did.

There is an accessible, plastic pocket trim panel to allow access inside the rear of vehicle (drivers side usually) - look inside carefully at an oblique angle to see a white label with black lettering - the code should be visible. On my 1999 Explorer XLT, I had to use my smartphone to capture the image to review it.
