Well maintained they could be good for 200,000+ miles. It all depends on how it was taken care of. There is a bit of luck involved also. Also it is probable that the transmission will need rebuilt during this 200,000 miles.

Maintenance is everything. There's no set time frame for breakdowns on ANY vehicle. Any mileage guess would be just that....a guess.

4.0 SOHC engine? Be wary of of the rear valve chain guide guide and tensioner. If they begin to go out and you hear a tapping noise, then engine will have to come out of the vehicle to fix.

With my 2007 premier I am at 200,000 and have never had a problem. Just needs to be taken care of and driven nice. It is being passed down in my family for the third time. Great beginner car.

My v8 03 mountaineer has been through the ringer with bad mechanics. I learned how to fix and maintain and she’s a gem again. Except tranny hesitation and slip only in third. Been like that since 2015(when I got it) never did anything about the issue because it was steady and by passable with aware driving. Rebuilt the front and rear suspension down to it all. For pushing 240k miles and only to hesitate a gear maybe once a week. She’s been a great first car and still has the power now that everything is new and maintained...except the tranny
