Thumping noise in the rear while driving

Asked by Gaint45 Jul 14, 2011 at 02:36 PM about the 2001 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving there is a thumping noise coming from under the truck.   It is not a shock and all the bushing look good.   I tried boucing and shaking the truck while in park and it will not make the noise.    Has anyone seen or heard of what this can be?
