i have a 2l-bg tansfer case and when i look for one on ebay they are all bb or
ba

Probably slight variations in the build. You could ask a Ford dealer but I doubt even they would know.

i think i counted 5 or 6 different ones. i couldnt be possible that they made that many different transfer cases that go to one vehicle could it? i understand different ratios but that many? ill try to call them on that thank you

I would guess that the transfer cases have small internal difference but nothing major. Maybe from different suppliers or something like that. Functionally I am GUESSING they are essentially the same.
