Have a voltage drop test preformed on the start circuit. If all ground connection were Ok. One of the cables / wires probable has very high resistance after all these years or a ground is not connected or has corroded. Most of the time it sback and down under at the starter its self.(passengers side) lower engine.

Why don't you want to take it to a mechanic? Car owners must all do that- for maintenance and repairs- they are just machines, not magic- expensive machines-

In my 2004 Ford Expedition the starter would not crank when I turned the ignition on. I tested all the fuses, went to auto zone to have them test the starter it was fine I took out the old volt meter and began checking the connections from the battery all were working. I check the ignition itself and I observed the problem, a broken connector I pinched it back together and the car started perfectly.

While driving the vehicle started to die on me. All the interior lights on the dash and radio started to fade towards to black and the vehicle shut off on me. I had the vehicle jump started and it worked but as soon as I removed the cables the vehicle began to shut down again.

I have been having problems going in 9 months with my 2003 for expedition 5.4. Replaced battery, alternator, entire fuse box, and PCM...twice. My lights and radio would go off then suddenly back on while the engine simultaneously dies and also came back on its own. Mechanics do not listen when I tell the recent history of this old and dying truck. Finally it’s running ok. Then I hit a deer. A big one. Condenser fails just as summer approaches. After ordering twice, I get the correct one and I have cold air! For two days. . Now it’s looking like the compressor is out too. And tonight out of the blue, engine won’t turn over at all and attempting to jump start it doesn’t produce anything. What do I do now?

Neutral safety= no click no crank no start but all lights radio etc work. Inertia switch=lights all good turn key engine cranks over but will not start. If reset button is pressed and still doesn't work unplug clip on switch use a short wire strip ends a d place one end in each slot resulting in a U shaped wire sticking out of the clip...start vehicle. Replace inertia switch as soon as possible

I have a 2004 Ford Expedition. One day I cranked it up and my abs light and traction control started blinking like crazy and my brake pedal started moving on it’s on. On top of that there was like a screeching noise but I wasn’t moving. Never had that happen. I called myself turning the truck off then back on. Only problem is it didn’t crank up. Just one click when I turn the keys. I just got an oil change that day. Brakes and hub bearing wear the trac control is has gotten replaced a month ago. Idk what to do
