2003 expedition won't start. so, I jumped it and it start d ok. But, strangely, I can't get the shifter out of park. It feels like the shifter is blocked part way.
I can pull the shifter part way toward me but not the full 'throw' before it can
shift into other gears. I dEpress the brake first as usual. Possibly is there a
solenoid release in the steering hub?
The original electrical issue was probably the alternator, it is the original
alternator from 2003. A slow trickle charge overnight will give enough charge
to the battery so that it starts the truck right up. But, then trying to restart it is
The battery reads 12.15 v. This is a little low isn't it? Further, The voltage of
the alternator charging the battery is around 7.5 V
