i swapped out my tranny and now it wont start

has power but starter wont engage and shifter is locked. also gear indicator in the dash
wont highlight what gear its in

wires either are not plugged un properly or broken wires

Did that resolve the issue??? What happened? Same thing happening to me with my 2015 Escape. I swapped my motor and starter won’t engage, shifter is locked, and gear shift won’t read
