You have either #1 - a bad electrical connection, #2 - a bad ground, or #3 - a bad alternator again. Yes I have purchased "newly rebuilt", but bad alternators thru numerous auto parts retailers over the past 25 years.

How would a ground go bad... where you think it could be a bad electrical connection?

Grounds can be bad due to no "metal to metal" clean connection or the connector itself, though looking good on the outside is green with oxidization and rotted on the inside, not letting it complete the circuit all the time.
