How do you adjust the timing on a chevy tracker 2.0L?

Having problems with starting after engine is warm. Replacing cam syncronizer. How do I
correctly adjust the timing?

Took it to a garage. They hooked up a scanner to a port by the steering column. While monitoring the scanner, they adjusted the cam syncronizer to set the timing.
