6.0L Electric Fans

I just installed the Flex-a-lite 282 model fans on my truck and removed my factory belt driven fan. What a difference. I would suggest anyone with a 6.0 do the same. feel a huge improvement in power and a couple more mpg. They work great.

That's awesome! I'm looking to getas close to factort replacement electric fan for my 2010 2500 HD with a 6.0 l also! I've found a direct replacement fan for the 2008, but is the same as the 2010? I'm going crazy looking for something!
Make sure what you have has a fan shroud that will cover the radiator and pulls more air than the factory one you replace. Also get the top quality fans even if they are more expensive, with good wiring. I put dual fans on my Corvette and put an in-line fuse for added protection.

I’m just curious does your truck overheat when towing? I’ve heard that some of the HD trucks have over heating issues while towing with electric fans?
My 2002 6.0l had issues with engine and trans overheating while towing in the summer. This was 100% factory parts. One of The plastic tanks on the rad ended up cracking so i opted for an all aluminum rad so i wouldnt have to worry about a crack again... no more overheating, but now in the winter im having an issue with running cold. A piece of cardboard covering 2/3 of the rad solved this issue. Im hoping an electric fan system may help? Thermostat, water pump, and hoses replaced as well. All factory oem replacments.
