Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 02 Silverado 2500HD with a 6.0 vortec. About a month ago I
started having a problem with my truck. when im driving my tuck limits me to
2000RPM-2500RPM, when i try and floor it my rpms go up but my truck wont
move past the 2500RPM mark. It does the same thing in park and neutral, it
revs fine up to 2000 but after that it sounds weak but rpms climb to 6 grand!
imagin the sound of you reving your truck to max rpm, thats what it starts to
sound like past 2000! Im running open headers with about 2feet of pipe. I
have O2 codes but i dont think thats the problem, i could be wrong though! I
need help!!! What do yall think it is?

1 Answer

i am a mechanic, i put the scanner on my tuck, and just O2's pop up! fuel pressure is fine, oil pressure is fine.
