went to put truck in reverse and it wont go.Drives fine in any other gear.heard alot about maybe the sun shell didn't know if any body had any other suggestions

I have a grinding sounds in my late year 99 Silverado. Truck won't go into park or reverse. It grinds bad when trying to put it into park. The truck seems like it is in between recverves and park but starts up. Movement
