Engine full throttle in idle upon start up

Asked by Bilobo80 Jan 22, 2020 at 04:32 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD LS Crew Cab 4WD

What would cause my 2002 silverado to increase idle after
start up. It idles fine for 2 - 3 seconds, then full throttle red
lines the tach. It will go for 1k rpm to 6k almost
immediately...please help...
