2005 Silverado Stuck in Park

I just finished changing my transmission oil and filter on my 2005 Silverado, 5.3L engine, 4L60-E automatic transmission.  I also drained the oil from the torque convertor.  After topping off the fluid level I started the truck up and moved the shifter lever through all the gears.  Then I shut it off and removed the jack stands and wheel chokes and started the truck back up and attempted to back up.  The truck would not go.  I then shifted into drive and once again it would not go.  I then put it in neutral and attempted to push the vehicle and it would not budge.  It acts like the brakes are on.  The emergency brakes are not on.  What is the problem????

By draining the torque converter the transmission will take 8 to 10 quarts of oil. You have to run the motor and shift the trany threw the gears to circulate the oil. Initially, only add 3 quarts before starting the motor. Check fluid level as you are adding trany fluid, foot on the brake and shifting threw the gears. Check level while motor is running, park, or neutral.

I agree with Rowefast, when I was younger and did what you did, found out that the torque converter takes a lot more fluid than you would think, if it ran okay before, it just sounds like you don't have enough tranny fluid, if you still have the owners manual, it should tell you the whole capacity for trans fluid, torque converter and trans as well.
