Cutting out

Asked by Danny Aug 04, 2017 at 10:45 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: General

My 2005 Chevy Silverado will start fine and
idle fine but when you go to take off it cuts
out really bad and will even die.  It will start
right back up . Will smooth out eventually .
Help !!

Have you changed the fuel filter lately?If filter is good may want to have the fuel pressure checked could be fuel pump going bad.

Was told.my truck doesn't have a fuel filter .

Yes it has fuel filter,but it is not and inline,it is in the tank with fuel pump.

Ok , thanks . Any chance it could be plugs or wires ? Air flow sensor ?
