Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I still hear the sound after kicking off
the built up snow around my wheels,
I don't hear it all the time but
sometimes it makes the sound. I
don't feel any kind of tranny slip or
loss of power just that annoying
buzzing sound every now and then.
Usually when I first start driving.

Do you have an electric transfer case or anything electrical, like a fuel pump in the area of the noise? You mentioned your "truck got ruined". What do you mean by that statement? buried in the snow? Crashed? Stuck? bumped? Does the sound happen only when driving or does it happen when parked and startinjng it up? Do you go a certain speed before it starts? Could you walk or run beside it to locate the area, or ride in the bed? Could it be from the transmission? Do you have a 4 wheel set up that will automatically cut in if your primary tires are slipping?
