I got a question for anyone that can help me, I have a 2002 chevy silverdo pickup with 5.3 automatic the tranny fuild has not been changed and it has 107,000 miles on her. What is the best way I should go about having it done, should I have it backflushed or not I would like to do it myself any suggestions on what I should do Thanks for your Help???

Have it changed, the filter as well. If there is any concern about old gunk and debris being loosened by the new tranny fluid, then do a second fluid/filter change after running it for a short period of time, the second change will catch all of that. ATF contains detergents that will clean/loosen gunk, so it's not the backflush that dislodges that but the new fluid. It's NEVER a good idea to leave old dirty fluid in a beat tranny. Change it, and change it again if you have to.
