2002 chevy silver ado fuel pump shut off

my 2002 chevy siverado 1500 has a starting issue. I was rear ended a few
months ago i drove probley 500 or more miles with no issues but about a
month or so ago i was driving on the interstate and the engine shut off it
started but would not stay running i replaced the fuel filter and checked the
relay i have a new fuel pump to instal but before i replace the pump a friend
wanted to find out if there was a reset switch for the fuel pump and where it
was located.i checked through the owners manual and could not find
anything about reset the fuel pump
