I have a 1994 Ford ranger 2.3L, it cranks once a day early in the morning, when I shut her off, she want start again. She spits and sputters and want Idle, what is Her Problan?
Truck cranks and runs fine for a few miles, then when you shut it off, it doesn't crank again. It spits and sputters, and want idle, what is wrong with it?
I check my Alt yesterday and battery, battery showing on 11 volts, and alt putting out only 12 volts, I think this might be my problem. When I fix those two I will get back and let you know if that was it. I had to answer my on question. Funny haha.
MY first guess is wrong. I had it check by a professional, and the battery is about 13 Volts and the Alt is putting out about 15 volts. so my guess was wrong. Does anyone have an answer?
I went over to the Ellenbrock web site, and told Mr. Ellenbrock the problem I was having, and he said it sound like it might be a crack coil and a bad ECU computer. I change out the coil's, and it still did the same, then went over to the parts and got an new ECU, just like he said, and change it out, now it is running like a kitten, with no problems.
