Could be a bad transmission. Check your fluid level and color.

It well could be. By chance, do you have any warning lights on? What makes you think that it's the speed sensor?

On my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 4 x 4 Z 71 you told me that my speed sensor was bad, I sent you back a question and ask you where was the speed sensor located you said that the transmission speed sensor was located on the transmission and that there was a Nother speed sensor located

Okay on my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 4 x 4 Z 71 you told me into answers that it was a bad speed sensor then you said that there was a transmission? speed sensor located on the transmission where is it on the transmission find rear top bottom where? This one was called a HTH sensor then you said it could be a speed sensor that was mounted at the wheel where would we owe what it be mounted at and can you give me a better idea of where it is ? Which sensor between these two would make the speedometer not were or the truck not shift

I got the same problem on my truck today I was hooking up a stereo in my some of the lights went off on the cluster and my speedometer is not working also

Speed sensor location is transfer case tha problem is computer or module control

It’s the fuse there’s a five amp fuse in your fuse box under dash and it’s the cluster one I think
