My remote lock/unlock & trunk opener aren't working. Is there a battery to replace?

Seems like when I get within five feet of the vehicle it still works - but not without pressing the button multiple times.  There is no screw or any other obvious way to open up the remote.

yes there is a battery pull the remote apart and there is the battery
