try disconnecting you battery for at least 15 minutes then reconnect it and before you start the car turn the key to the run position (without starting it) and leave on for at least 10 seconds then turn it off, turn it back on and allow at least 5 seconds before starting, i believe this resets the pcm and has fixed other malfunctions like temp gauge not working and cooling fans constantly running. after i replaced the rusty front brake fluid lines, bled the front calipers and topped off the the master cylinder the "trac off" light would not go out after repeatedly pressing the traction control switch on the console and also the radiator cooling fans started making a siren type noise after i stopped for gas then started everything was fine.
