how do u bleed coolant pressure
Usually you let the car cool down. It is the safe way to open a radiator cap.
If you have the 3.8L V6 you have one bleeder valve on the thermostat housing. With the engine cool/cold remove the radiator cap and open the bleeder valve. This works best if the car is parked on an incline with the nose pointing up. Like if you're halfway in the driveway. Add coolant to the radiator until you have a steady stream of coolant coming from the open bleeder valve. Then close the bleeder valve and put the radiator cap back on. If you have the 3.4L V6, same deal. Only you'll have two bleeder valves that must be opened up. One is at the thermostat housing and I believe the second is on the heater hose metal tube. There is a tool for pulling the cooling system down into a vacuum for refilling. It needs to be hooked up to an air compressor to work but it's actually the best way to get all the air out. HTH. -Jim
