Throttle power

I have a 94 ford ranger with a 3.0 v6. I can start and
rev full rpms but when I  put it in gear it hesitates to
get moving and eventually opens up to more power
does anyone know what could be wrong?

Check timing, could be that it needs a tune up, try using higher octane fuel. Does it do it all the time or only when cold or warm?

    1985 ranger 2.8 V6 drawing power from battery with the key in off position just replaced ignition switch and same issue, fuse box is getting constant power on at least 4 fuses.
