Question type: General

Replaced the fuel pump and sender assembly and fuel filter. Runs great but the
fuel gauge indicator at the dash is stuck on 1/2 tank. What could be the
problem and how should I approach repair?

well, the sender in the tank could be stuck- or the gauge might be bad- or an electrical connector is bad- you know, the usual list of suspects-

Brand new fuel pump and sender unit...checked sender to dash before we installed. At the tank it is a plug in connection. Thought you might have something that I have overlooked, but as you said...it is the "usual lists of suspects". I will let the board, here, know what it was when I find it. Anyone else have the problem, let me know what they found. TIA. (ps...the reducer of 12 V behind the gauge and possibly, something as simple as a fuse could be the culprit). Thanks jam...thinking out loud is how most problems are solved; not solely by one person answering the question in only their own brain). Many thanks.
