Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my aunt and uncle have a 1994 explorer 4.0 xlt 4wd with 80k miles and in very nice shape. Problem is, it hasnt been started in about 5 years as it was used for storage more or less. I was gonna get it running again because i feel it would be worth it in the end. Im just curious as to what all i need to pay attention to, and make sure i dont cause further damage. The truck ran perfect when parked, now it seems like the injectors might be clogged. So far it has new plugs, fuel filter and fuel pump. The tank was drained and cleaned. Thank you in advance

As previously posted, the plugs are new, although the wires are not. I guess I can be more specific. I know I need to change the oil, and most likely the brake fluid, but do I need to go as far as transfer case, power steering, coolant etc?

Tank was drained before or after being parked? If it was empty, there is probably a lot of condensation in the gas tank. Fill 'er up and add some alcohol based water remover. Inspect tires very carefully. If I was in your position I would but new tires regardless of whet they look like. 5 years is really not enough time to really ruin a tire, unless it was in the sun, if it was (in the sunlight) new tires for sure. I see no reason to change brake fluid, power steering or transfer case oil
