I have 2007 toyota camry hybrid bought from a auction with no keys. Locksmith came to make and program a key but claim 12v battery was to low charged so I boosted battery for a hour with Booster pack

Allegedly programming key VSC displayed on dash and car wouldn't crank at all,
not sure if key was recognized because dashboard went black with all
accessory power. I took to get 12v battery charged, they said it is a good battery
13.2v. I put 12v battery back in car still no accessories, but have horn, interior
lights, brake light & parking lights which was condition before having key
programmed

I believe this is another example of the many computers on this vehicle not communicating with one another. You might start checking fuses for opens first. These hybrids really need a factory...toyota....scan tool for proper diagnosis. Complicating this issue is we really don't know if we have a good...proper...key which will function properly. If this vehicle has over 100,000 miles....you can expect hv battery problems. Check the Owners Manual for fuse locations and consider a call to a toyota dealer asking what it would cost to cut and program a key for this vehicle. Get back to us with your thoughts.
