I own a 2006 Camry, 4 cyl.
The manual says to use 5W30, and I have been using that for years.
Recently, the place I go to for oil has told me that Toyota says to use 0W20,
and they showed that to me on their computer.
Why is there a conflict and which is correct? Thanks!!
stay with what your using !!! never down a weight even if it says 0- 20
Could the 0W20 hurt the engine if it is in there for about a year after years of 5W30?
well as you put miles/time on it the engine wears a little bit ...clearances get larger...so you went down in weight (thickness)....next time try 10-30 it will like the summer heat better... i have 10s of Gs in my engines ..they only see mobile 1 syn.
