My 1958 has enough h p with 270 hp but ride is horrible like an old truck, have put in rack and pinion steering, but no help.  Please I need help.

Nice car! I would suggest go to a couple good tire, alignment , shock places and see what they suggest.. Could be shocks, springs or both. But those cars were not made for comfort as much as control and speed. Those years were very basic suspension systems and were not as today's cars. I am old...I remember lol!

Welcome to the world of Vettes! They all ride like trucks at least until the C5's. The rack has nothing to do with the ride. There are some that claim to have softer suspension setups. I suggest vintage Corvette forums.
