how do i make it to where my 95 thunderbird will not start for someone with an extra set of keys

Asked by kkbk08 Feb 05, 2016 at 12:14 AM about the 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX RWD

Question type: General

My brother went and got an extra set of keys
made behind my back and has took my car
twice. How do I make it where it won't start
next time he tried to take it but do
something simple enough to our right back
next time I need to go somewhere?

Install a new ignition switch and don't leave the new keys around for him to copy

take the coil wire off, under the hood- if it has a coil wire- or a restraining order on your brother-

He doesn't have a heart condition? Strip two 14 gauge or so wires the same color as your seat. Place them through the fold so that they contact your back/butt when you sit in the car but not each other. Ground one wire and run the other wire to a toggle (hidden) run the other lead of the toggle under the hood. Strip 1 to 2" of the end and fan it slightly. Pull one spark plug wire off push the bare wire into the boot and put the plug wire back on. You want the piggy back wire to make contact with the plug wire. Warn him to give the keys back "Or else." If he doesn't arm the switch and let him start it. It will hurt enough where he shouldn't bug you again. High Voltage but low current. It was one of our Halloween pranks to friends lol. We used to weave it into seat covers. Too mean?

I would change the door locks and the ignition locks. If it were me I would call the cops next time he steals your car.
