1988 Corvette Headlight

I replaced the headlight motor on the right side, in the process of replacing the
motor I had to replace the modulator, the left side started malfunctioning at a
separate time, rebuilt the left side motor, the right side is now not operating.  Is
there anyway that the right side motor messed up the modulator?
