The two wire connector has a brown wire and a black and white striped wire, which goes to which pin ?

this connector has gone missing and I have a new connector but do not know which wire goes where

You look at how the wires are attached to the old connector. Attach the new connector so the original wires go to the corresponding side of the old connector.

If I had the old connector - I could do that.

Then the wires go to the correct sides of the sensor.
