Steering wheel locked

My 2002 Honda crv 2.0l has locked its steering wheel and the key cant unlock it. what can the problem be

Check your car manual. This problem is covered, I think in the steering wheel section.

If the wheels are turned and or the car is parked on a grade this could cause the steering to bind up. Is the car an automatic or manual trans? I would try having a friend rock the car back and forth while you continue to attempt to unlock the steering with the key simultaneously.
