2003 Honda CR-V replaced both camshaft sensors and idle air control. it runs
fine for a minute or so then dies and wont start agian. but also strong smell of
fuel.

purge the fuel rail at the schrader valve when it dies and won't start , don't start any fires , if it helps replace the fuel regulator
