i have a 1985 T-top V6 5 speed manual 2.8 Camero that i need to put a engine in. what
will fit and give me the least trouble  to put in and get it running.

It's unibody you have to split the frame, and then u can put anything you want into it, I would do a ls3procharged t56 6speed with ford9inch be under 10k and would run 12s? But you should clearly put a lsx into it....
