Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1987 I roc z . Passed emissions , but failed
equipment inspection for Catalytic Converter
presence also Air injection system presence . Any
idea of cost ? So I think they took off the smog
pump? Also I looked under the passenger side and
saw what I thought was a catalytic converter . So I
don't think they straight piped it. Looks a little old
but no damage . . Any advice?

That's what I thought . . Something fishy. . I was thinking why would they even bother hooking it up to test it if it didn't pass or even have the proper emissions equipment. . Maybe I will try and take it to a smaller place .. Passed with flying colors . I'm just stuck on dumb
