1989 iroc 350 cranks no fuel preaaure
989 iroc 5.7l 77,000. Miles is 1 owner car just
bought my fourth camaro. Car cranks has new
battery not getting fuel pressure and I already
changed my relays and fuses nothing h s changed .
Could is just be a bad fuel pump or am I looking
into a bigger problem because car has aftermakrjet
alarm. Was going to change fuel pump but just
wanna make sure no more options before I drop the
rear and tank
When you turn the key to just the on position you should be able to hear the fuel pump prime up and then quit. It is located in the gas tank. If you hear it run then yes, no fuel pressure would be a bad fuel pump. Also just make sure the fuel filter is not plugged.
I do not hear it prime I hear my two clicks for the relay and fuse but no prime . I assumed it was the fuel pump because no power at all and runs off starting fluid but just wanted a second opinion. Thanks for the help
Yes, check that it is getting power, so still a fuel pump issue.
