why did voice on GPS stop working

I was driving when I realized the voice on my GPS quit navigating. Also no
sound from radio. Found it odd these two things seemed to stop working
at the same time.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting one of the battery terminals. Leave it disconnected for about 5 minutes. Sometimes this will "reboot" the electronics and cause them to function properly. If you have a BMW, Jaguar or Mercedes Benz then do not do the above as it may cause issues. Also locate and check the radio fuse as the sound for the GPS comes from the radio. Posting your question in the proper area with all the information will help you get a more accurate answer. Let us know what happens.
