22r engine swap

Asked by BryceLove Jan 03, 2017 at 07:13 PM

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1994 Toyota lowlux with a 22r, petrol 2x4,
it's abit slow and not really what I am looking for in
car performance but I don't want to sell the ute
because I love the style of it, so I'm looking for a
engine swap but I have no idea what I can put in it, I
want something like a rb20de 'can't have turbo, on
my red p's) and I'm not really into diesel at all so if
anybody has any ideas on what definately will fit
that would be much appreciated.

The 22R engine is terrific and you should be able to get quite a few high performance parts for it. Swapping in a car engine probably won't work out well as they are low torque, the 22R would probably have more torque even though the HP might be less.
