Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, Christmas Eve we started our Honda frv
1.7i and started first turn, for all of 2
seconds, then the vehicle stopped and
won’t fire up, we checked fuel pump and
that’s fine, but stuck now as to what we
can do

Sorry 62k, had someone put a diagnostics on the car and has come up with no faults, we can’t even hear the fuel pump starting up, yet the relay clicks as if there is some kind of connection, really baffled now as to what the problem may be

Fuses have all been checked, and there is no fuel what so ever being pumped to the rail, but the pump is not faulty

Hi Dazzer my car has a similar problem did you finally get fixed. what was the issue?

Yeah, the cars had a fault and recall on the relay circuit boards, as it was recalled and done by putting a new but same board in it they said it wasn’t a Honda fault, three ways you can fix it, have the new part fitted at around £600, have someone run a cable from battery to the fuel pump or get someone to bypass the circuit board and fit it with a fuse, that will save having to disconnect the battery to fuel pump so it don’t flood the engine, the third option is what we took and works a treat
